Job Description

A general surgeon is a doctor who specializes in surgeries that are not limited to a specific area of the body. They are responsible for diagnosing and treating injuries or illnesses that require surgery. This may include conditions such as cancer, hernias, and appendicitis. General surgeons may also be called upon to perform emergency surgery.

ROLES RESPONSIBILITIES

  • A person should be capable of evaluating the patient and diagnosing the problem.
  • The doctor will first need to review your medical history. The doctor will then be able to plan the treatment.
  • Tell your doctor if you need to stop taking medication.
  • A person should fully explain the recovery process and expected recovery time.
  • The doctor must inform the patient of any complications during rehabilitation.
  • An outstanding leader with exceptional management skills.
  • Candidates should comprehend at least nine of the most common areas of surgery.
  • Candidates should be able to communicate effectively and make informed decisions.
