Requirements to become Obstetricians and Gynecologists :

(I) MBBS (Bachelor Of Medicine And Bachelor Of Surgery): It is a five-and-a-half-year course. Students can apply for this course after 12 passing physics, chemistry, and biology subjects.

(II) MS In Gynecology And Obstetrics: It is a two-year postgraduate course. Admission to these courses is given to those students who have successfully completed an MBBS course from any recognized college.

(III) DM In Gynecology And Obstetrics: To pursue this course, students are required to complete master courses in a related discipline like MS in Gynecology and Obstetrics. It is a three years duration course.

The salary of Obstetricians and Gynecologists completely depends upon experience.

The starting salary of Obstetricians and Gynecologists ranges from Rs. 4 to 5 lacs per annum.
