Job Description

The employment outlook for pediatricians is favorable, with an estimated 29,600 available positions in the India. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the demand for pediatricians is expected to grow 15.2% between 2016 and 2026. Job growth is projected to be moderate, as the number of new doctors will be slightly higher than the number of retirees. The Bureau of Labor Statistics projects an overall decrease of 500 jobs in the field, which is below average.

In order to become a pediatrician, applicants must first graduate from medical school with a master’s degree in pediatrics. They must also complete a residency after graduation from medical school. This three-year residency requires the candidate to practice pediatrics under the guidance of a licensed physician. They must have good judgment and be able to notice unusual behavior or activity in a child’s body. In addition, they must have high levels of patience, as dealing with children is difficult.

As a pediatrician, you will provide health care to children from birth to the time they reach adulthood. This position is particularly important because children don’t have fully developed immune systems until they reach adulthood. In addition to providing medical care, pediatricians diagnose conditions such as autism spectrum disorder and pediatric neurological disorders. The career outlook for pediatricians is bright, and they will be in high demand for as long as there is a growing world population.
