Job Description

An ophthalmologist must treat cataracts, glaucoma, squints, eye injuries, infectious eye illnesses, and age-related degenerative eye disorders. An ophthalmologist will treat patients of all ages, from premature babies to the elderly. Management and administration skills are highly desired. Hand-eye coordination should be superb. The eye’s diseases, functioning, and anatomy are well understood. Excellent physics and math skills are necessary, and excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving ability.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Patients must obtain high-quality medical treatment.
  • Prescription or administration of ophthalmic and pain-management medicines topically or systemically
  • Look at what’s new in eye disease treatment, diagnosis, and management.
  • In the examination of the eyes, magnifiers and ophthalmologists are employed.
  • Legally blind people are certified by surgeons.
