In a highly technological environment that requires continual monitoring of the patients’ health, immediate/critical care doctors treat acutely and critically ill patients. A wide range of medical therapies is necessary for these patients due to life-threatening problems. It is their responsibility to care for a patient’s emotional and psychological well-being.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Collaborate with other members of the health care team to analyze and design patient care plans, as well as administer and assess them. Includes prescription drugs that are prepared for oral or intravenous administration, and those that are given subcutaneously or through intravenous. As directed by the physician initiates a patient education program and reports adverse reactions to medications or treatments in line with the policy controlling the administration of pharmaceuticals by a licensed registered doctor. Explain to patients and their families the need for post-treatment home care, diet/nutrition/exercise regimens, prescription administration, and rehabilitation.
REQUIREMENTS FOR THE POSITION
- Prior experience in critical care for at least three (3) year
