To diagnose and treat renal diseases, nephrologists are needed. As well as establishing health care programmes, nephrologists are also responsible for meeting the needs of their patients. Patients’ critical thinking skills are crucial for nephrologists, as is experience dealing with patients. ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Diagnose and treat a variety of kidney-related conditions.
  • Assist patients who have just undergone a kidney transplant with hemodialysis, dialysis, renal biopsies, and post-surgical care.
  • They must be engaged in building connections with their patients and educating those patients about the best strategies to manage renal failure and electrolyte problems and how to avoid additional kidney damage.
