About Madhubani Medical College & Hospital

Madhubani Medical College is the brainchild of a Visionary Educationist and Founder, Dr. Faiyaz Ahmad. He has been working towards improving education quality and providing the best facilities to the students for the last 30 years. Madhubani is a district where the best minds exist, but the problem has been the proper nurturing of those; that’s why the students from the region had to always look up to the bigger cities for quality education. Same situation with the health care facilities, which were of very poor standards. These were the reasons Madhubani Medical College came into existence.

Madhubani Medical College’s campus is spread over 25 acres with a fully equipped and operational 300 bedded hospital within the campus and situated in Madhubanitown. The campus is well connected and is on par with the best medical colleges in the country. The campus consists of College Building, Hospital Building, Hostels for Students, Residents, and Nurses, quarters for Teaching and Non-Teaching Staff.

Madhubani Medical College Facilities :

The College building houses the administrative departments, the Library, Lecture Hall, the teaching laboratories, and the Pre- Clinical and Para- Clinical departments with their museums and ancillary facilities.

Academic Facilities:

• Library

The fully air-conditioned Central Library is located in the College Building. It consists of Inside & Outside reading halls with 150 seating capacity for students and a separate reading room for Staff with 50 seating capacity. The digital library consists of 40 latest generation Computers with Internet connectivity. The stack area consists of more than 3000 books for reading and reference, plus 15 Indian and 6 Foreign Journals.

• Computer Lab

The Computer Lab consists of 40 Computers with high-speed internet connectivity. The student and staff can access digital books and journals in the Lab.

• Lecture Theatres

The College has two fully air-conditioned gallery-type lecture theatres, with a seating capacity of 200 each. All the lecture theatres are equipped with ultra-modern audio-visual teaching aids like LCD projectors, CCTV cameras, Computers, microphones,s, and e -classroom facilities.

• Common Rooms

Separate common rooms are available in the college building for the boys and girls students. Common rooms are equipped with recreational, first aid, locker, and retiring facilities, with attached toilets.

• Demonstration Rooms

Demo Rooms are available in all Pre-Clinical, Para -Clinical, and Clinical Departments. The demo rooms are well equipped with audio-visual aids, overhead projectors, and a seating facility.

• Laboratories

State-of-the-art fully-equipped laboratories for all departments are available in the college building. Dissection Hall The 5000 square feet Dissection Hall is equipped

with small and big Dissections tables and models and charts of Human sections for inclusive teaching of dissected parts of the Human Body.

Admission and Eligibility :

Candidates seeking admission have to appear in counseling conducted by the State of Bihar through its appropriate authority. Students must apply online on the Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (BCECEB) portal ww.bceceboard.bihar.gov.in to appear in counseling.

BCECE Board shall make a nomination for admission in Undergraduate Medical Course (MBBS) on merit -cum -choice based on NEET (UG)

1.The candidate must have qualified National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) UG conducted as per regulations framed under the Indian Medical Council Act 1956 as amended in 2019.

2.The candidate must fulfill the admission criteria, eligibility, rank in the merit list, medical fitness, and other criteria as may be prescribed by the Government of India, the Government of Bihar, and MMC.

3.The candidate must have completed 17 years on or before 31st December of the year of his/her admission to the 1st year MBBS course.

4.The candidate’s upper age limit is 25 years on the date of NEET UG of the year of admission with a relaxation of 5 years for the candidates belonging to the SC/ST/OBC category and persons entitled for reservation under the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016.

Fee Structure :

• Tuition Fees

The tuition fee for resident Indians shall be 13,50,000 per annum as fixed by the Educational Fee Fixation Committee, dated 26.12.2020 vide memo no. 262(A) for the session 2020-21.

For Non-Resident Indian/Foreign and other students admitted to seats reserved for NRI, the annual tuition fee shall be $ 25,000 (USD) per annum as fixed by the Educational Fee Fixation Committee, dated 26.12.2020 vide memo no. 262(A) for the session 2020-21.

• Hostel & Other charges:

1)The Hostel for students comprises a fully air-conditioned room with an attached bathroom with a hot and cold water facility, separate solid wood furniture for each student, complimentary Wi-Fi round the clock. The annual fee for the same shall be Rs.3,00,000 per annum.

(Mess Charges extra)

2) The Transport charge of Rs.1,00,000 per annum comprising transportation, visits to Health centers for training and local areas for community work, Medical Coverage for each student, Sports, Gymnasium & Development, etc.

3) One-time refundable security deposit of Rs.1,50,000.

4) Examination and University Registration Fee ( As per University norms.)
