Job Description

A General Medicine doctor is required to diagnose, treat, and assist prevent illnesses and injuries that are common in the general population. Furthermore, if required, he or she may send patients to specialists for additional diagnosis or treatment.

Roles and Responsibilities

As a general medicine doctor who will be able to respond to health concerns presented by patients, including collecting a history, diagnosing the disease, treating the patient, and referring the patient to other specialists considered suitable for the patient. He/she typically plans, implements, or administers health programs for the information, prevention, or treatment of injury or illness; prepares statistical reports for government or management; promotes health education concerning diet, hygiene, and disease prevention; collects, records, and maintains patient information; explains procedures and discusses test results with patients; refers patients to other specialists.
