Job Description

Cataracts, glaucoma, squints, eye traumas, infectious eye diseases, and age-related degenerative eye problems all require the services of an ophthalmologist. Patients of all ages, from newborns to the elderly, will be treated by an ophthalmologist. Management and administrative abilities are in great demand. Hand-eye coordination should be exceptional. The disorders, functions, and anatomy of the eye are well understood. Good physics and math skills, as well as excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities, are required.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Patients must receive top-notch medical care.
  • Prescription and administration of ocular and pain-relieving medications, either topically or systemically.
  • Take a peek at what’s new in the treatment, diagnosis, and management of eye diseases.
  • Magnifiers and ophthalmometers are used in the examination of the eyes.
  • They must certify legally blind patients.
